First of all, let me say, HAPPY NEW YEAR!! We're finally out of 2021, in which let me just say, is VERY exciting for us book-lovers. SO many anticipated reads come out this year! From The Final Gambit alllll the way to This Might Get Awkward, we're down for it! So, sit back, relax, and maybe you'll find a new book to read! :)

Love Times Infinity by Lane Clarke

Lane Clarke's debut LOVE TIMES INFINITY, about a 16-year-old girl busy with big dreams for college and the biggest crush on the school's new basketball superstar—but when her estranged mother suddenly reappears in her life, she faces important questions about the chances she's willing to take on herself and her future, to Alexandra Hightower at Poppy, in a significant deal, at auction, in a two-book deal, for publication in summer 2022, by Pete Knapp at Park & Fine Literary and Media (world English).

My Opinion: #TBH I'm really excited for this. It looks and sounds REALLY good!

Operation Sisterhood by Olugbemisola Rhuday-Perkovich

Eleven-year-old Bo has gotten used to its being just her and her mom in their cozy New York apartment. But when her mom gets married, Bo must adjust to instant sisterhood, and a music-minded blended family that is much larger, louder, and more complex than she ever imagined.

MY OPINION: I love the cover, description, and art style. Expect a review soon :)

It Will End Like This by Kyra Leigh

Charlotte lost her mother six months ago, and still no one will tell her exactly what happened the day she mysteriously died. They say her heart stopped, but Charlotte knows deep down that there's more to the story.

The only person who gets it is Charlotte's sister, Maddi. Maddi agrees—people’s hearts don’t just stop. There are too many questions left unanswered for the girls to move on.

But their father is moving on. With their mother’s personal assistant. And both girls are sure that she’s determined to take everything that’s theirs away for herself.

Now the only way to get their lives back is for Charlotte and Maddi to decide how this story ends, themselves.

The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberly

Three years ago, Katrina Freeling and Nathan Van Huysen were the brightest literary stars on the horizon, their cowritten books topping bestseller lists. But on the heels of their greatest success, they ended their partnership on bad terms, for reasons neither would divulge to the public. They haven't spoken since, and never planned to, except they have one final book due on contract.

Facing crossroads in their personal and professional lives, they're forced to reunite. The last thing they ever thought they'd do again is hole up in the tiny Florida town where they wrote their previous book, trying to finish a new manuscript quickly and painlessly. Working through the reasons they've hated each other for the past three years isn't easy, especially not while writing a romantic novel.

While passion and prose push them closer together in the Florida heat, Katrina and Nathan will learn that relationships, like writing, sometimes take a few rough drafts before they get it right.

Game On by Various Authors

From the slightly fantastical to the utterly real, light and sweet romance to tales tinged with horror and thrills, Game On is an anthology that spans genre and style. But beneath each story is a loving ode to competition and games perfect for anyone who has ever played a sport or a board game, picked up a video game controller, or rolled a twenty-sided die.

A manhunt game is interrupted by a town disappearing beneath the players’ eyes. A puzzle-filled scavenger hunt emboldens one college freshman to be brave with the boy she’s crushing on. A series of summer nights full of card games leads a boy to fall for a boy who he knows is taken. And a spin the bottle game that could end a life-long friendship.

Fifteen stories, and fifteen unforgettable experiences that may inspire readers to start up that Settlers of Catan game again.
